Recap: It's Disney Night - Who Will Make The Top 3?
Ready for some magic? It's Disney Night on "American Idol" 2024! The Top 5 became the Top 3 with a pair of songs from Disney and Disney+ classics, mentored in Walt Disney World by county star Kane Brown. Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie and host Ryan Seacrest are on hand as always, with special appearances by Idina Menzel (receiving an award for "Let It Go" from "Frozen") and the dynamic duo Jenifer Lewis and trumpet/piano legend Terence Blanchard to perform "" from "The Princess and the Frog".
After Luke, Katy, Lionel and Ryan open up the show with "You've Got A Friend In Me" from the "Toy Story" franchise, they appeared on stage where Katy made her grand entrance as Cinderella, complete with transforming rags-to-glam gown!
And here are the first round of performances:
• Abi Carter performed "Part of Your World" from "The Little Mermaid"
• Triston Harper performed "Almost There" from "The Princess and the Frog"
• Emmy Russell performed "The Climb" from "Hannah Montana: The Movie"
• Jack Blocker performed "Nobody's Fool" from "Cars 2"
• Will Moseley performed "The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy" from "Toy Story 4"
After Jenifer, Terence, and special guest alligator Louis bring down the house, the second round of songs begun.
