Actor Biography

Golden Globe®-nominated actor Michael Ealy has established himself as one of Hollywood's leading men, seamlessly jumping from television to film.

More recently, Ealy was seen starring in the Sony thriller The Intruder, opposite Dennis Quaid and Meagan Good, and is an executive producer for the remake of the cult favorite Jacob's Ladder, which hits theaters for a limited release this summer. Ealy will star opposite Hilary Swank in the noir thriller Fatale, which reteams him with director Deon Taylor (The Intruder).

Previously, Ealy served as an executive producer and starred as the title character in the Sony thriller The Perfect Guy, which opened No. 1 at the box office and earned him an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture. Other recent successful titles include Think Like A Man and Think Like A Man Too, About Last Night, Underworld: Awakening, For Colored Girls, Takers and 2 Fast 2 Furious.

On television, Ealy has starred and co-starred in several series, such as the Emmy® Award-winning series The Good Wife; Common Law; Almost Human for mega-producer JJ Abrams; Californication; and The Following, opposite Kevin Bacon, where he was hailed as "the new face of evil" for his chilling portrayal of serial killer Theo. His most acclaimed television role was his starring turn in Sleeper Cell, for Showtime Networks, in which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. He was handpicked by Oprah Winfrey to star opposite Academy Award® winner Halle Berry in the ABC miniseries Their Eyes Were Watching God, which earned him an NAACP Image Award for his portrayal of Teacake. He also starred opposite Gabrielle Union in the BET drama series Being Mary Jane and as the lead suspect in the second installment of ABC's drama series Secrets and Lies, opposite Juliette Lewis.

Some of Ealy's earlier work includes the drama Seven Pounds with Will Smith, a leading turn in Spike Lee's World War II feature Miracle at St. Anna's, and his breakout role as Ricky Nash in Barbershop and Barbershop 2: Back in Business
